Cheer music is built, not cut. We compose competition mixes around your routine — stunt sequences, tumbling passes, pyramid, dance and voiceover — arranged to your 8-counts and mastered for an arena. Because the music is written for you, there is no third-party licence to clear.

Why it is composed, not edited
Original music, so there is nothing to clear.
A cheer mix cut from commercial tracks inherits every one of those tracks' rights. Composing the music instead removes that entirely — there is no third-party master or publishing licence behind your routine, because the music did not exist before we wrote it.
It is also the honest reason cheer costs more than an edit. Editing shapes something that already exists. Here we are writing the arrangement, producing it, and building it around choreography that is still being set — which is a different job, and priced like one.
Your own organisation will still have its own rules about music, timing and content. Check those against your current rulebook — they change by division and season, and we would rather you confirm than take our word for it.

Tumbling passes
Accents placed under the passes so each landing reads bigger than it did in silence, with the energy built to carry across the full pass rather than punctuating the start of it.
Pyramid and builds
The section that most often gets flat music. Tension is written into the arrangement so the build arrives somewhere rather than simply continuing.
Dance and jumps
Tight, countable phrasing that keeps a full squad together, with the changes placed where the formation already turns.
Voiceover and effects
Your voiceover, placed and treated so it cuts through a loud arena rather than sitting under the music. Sound effects and transitions built around the visual moments you call.
Arena mastering
Finished for a competition PA in a large, reverberant room rather than for headphones — which is where most cheer mixes lose their impact.

The more specific, the better it lands.
A cheer build is only as tight as the structure it is written against. You do not need a finished routine to start, but the closer you can get to this, the fewer passes it takes.

The exact time your division requires, and any tolerance either side. Confirm it against your current rulebook before you send it.

Record and send it and we will place and treat it. We do not produce voiceover, so this is the one piece that has to come from your side.

Can you combine multiple songs into one seamless mix?
Yes. Songs at different tempos and in different keys will not blend by crossfading — they have to be time-aligned and pitch-reconciled so they share a tempo and a compatible key through the transition. Done properly, a multi-song routine sounds like one arrangement rather than a playlist.
Can you remove explicit lyrics from competition music cleanly?
Yes. Muting the word is what makes most clean versions obvious, because it removes part of the melody and breaks the rhythm of the line. We use an official clean release, the instrumental underneath, or a rebuilt phrase so the vocal keeps its shape. Tell us how strict your division is about content.

Cheer routines are usually built as custom music rather than edited from commercial tracks, so cheer requests go through our custom music service instead of the standard edit packages. Tell us what your routine needs and we will advise on the right approach.
