Per-song add-ons
Work that applies to an individual song rather than the routine — lyric cleanup, a drum intro, a count-in — is priced per song so you only pay for the songs that need it.
Why editors quote such different numbers
You will see competition music editing offered anywhere from around ten dollars to several hundred, and the range is real rather than arbitrary. It reflects genuinely different work.
A trim is not a mix
Cutting one song down to length is a fraction of the work of arranging five songs into a routine with matched tempo and key. Compare quotes for the job you have.
Revisions are often the hidden cost
A low headline price with paid revisions can end up higher than a quote that includes them, because the first version is rarely the last. Ask how many are included before you compare.
Turnaround is priced
Anyone can work faster for more money. If your competition is close, the rush figure matters more than the base price.
Some prices assume you did the thinking
